Design: Bear Garden Spring
The newest Bear Garden poster has been added to my portfolio. This time around, I wanted to capture the birth of the new season through the expressions and movement of the bears. At the same time I wanted to create an intense sense of desire for the “honey”. I mainly worked off of vector pieces from the first event poster, with obvious technical improvements (notice the flowers). Once again, the even was canceled a day before due to a forecast of rain. And once again…it did not rain. Let’s hope the next and final festival goes through.

Great Game
High five BG and Ray Allen but man… I did not notice the shocking speed/quickness/coolness of Derrick Rose ’til these playoffs. There were a couple plays where my eyes seriously could not keep up. Have you guys seen a really excited hamster on the running wheel?
Grub: Plum’s Cafe
Due to familial responsibilities, I was forced to painfully wake up very early this Sunday. However, this forced me to finally get some good breakfast, during breakfast time (not a breakfast burrito at 2 am). With the help of yelp and Diana’s speedy iPhone navigating skills, I found Plum’s Cafe. The high ratings were well deserved. The food was intricate and classy while not lacking in quantity. I truthfully have not had a more refreshed hash in my life.
This is not one of those breakfasts that leave you feeling oily at the end.

Design: Chew and Vote
Here’s one of my more unique pieces for UCSD’s general elections neutral voting campaign. Only 500+ units were made but I’m really glad the ASGS and election committee is down to even consider some less traditional advertising items like this. Since there are 8 pieces of gum in each pack, we are hoping that each pack will last each person through the entire voting week, at some point prompting them to vote. Deep Sea Mint….refreshing…..
