Design: Bear Garden Spring
The newest Bear Garden poster has been added to my portfolio. This time around, I wanted to capture the birth of the new season through the expressions and movement of the bears. At the same time I wanted to create an intense sense of desire for the “honey”. I mainly worked off of vector pieces from the first event poster, with obvious technical improvements (notice the flowers). Once again, the even was canceled a day before due to a forecast of rain. And once again…it did not rain. Let’s hope the next and final festival goes through.
Design: Mustache Dance vs. Tommy
Here we have completed Mustache Dance posters, featuring the smooth photography skills of my buddy/ex-roomie, Tommy Ross. Tommy did an awesome series of models with mustaches last year for a final project. Everyone who saw the show was impressed and entertained, so when the poster assignment for this dance came up, the ASGS decided the collaboration had to happen. Only 3 pieces out of the photographic series were selected for translation to poster format. Hopefully the text I added doesn’t take too much away from the pieces themselves.
